About Tiger Palace Resort Location - Bhairahawa - Nepal

This country has a diverse and ancient cultural heritage on the world’s roof. The Gurkha soldiers are the nation’s most famous national heroes, and Nepal has eight of the ten tallest mountains in the world, including the world’s highest peak, Everest. As one of the world’s most populous nations with nearly 30 million people, Nepal has strong cultural ties with India. Kathmandu is its capital, and its official language is Nepali.

Located between two UNESCO world heritage sites, Tiger Palace Resort is a perfect base for the discerning international traveller to explore all Nepal and Northern India has to offer. Tiger Palace Resort is perched in Bhairahawa or Siddharthanagar, south of the high Himalayas, in the fertile, subtropical Terai region. The two names reflect the Hindu and Buddhist heritage of the people and this area, known worldwide as the Buddha’s birthplace.

SHOPPING & LIFESTYLE IN TIGER PALACES RESORT

Visit Bhairahawa’s vibrant culture. If you want to see what’s happening in the city, go to the Haat Bazaar, a weekly market selling almost anything you can imagine, on a Thursday or Sunday. A riot of colour and a cacophony of vendors make this traditional scene an exhilarating experience. For a local speciality, consider brassware from Palpa, just north, or dokiya, the small, round, beautifully coloured baskets woven from rice straw by local women.
